Halloween Beauty Blogger Swap!
A couple of months ago, Jasmine from Sweetaholic Beauty put a call out to bloggers all around the world to join in a Halloween beauty swap which she kindly facilitated! You could choose whether you wanted to do the swap with those in the same country or with someone else from around the world. As this was my first swap, I thought it’d be safer to stick close to home! Jasmine paired me up with the lovely Reshma, from Dazzlegloss3 who’s from Melbourne! A big special thanks to Jasmine for running a great swap program!
We first filled out a little survey stating our our skincare/makeup regimes and all the products, as well as our favourite products, items we’d like to receive and ones we wouldn’t. We then decided upon a $100 limit but soon realised that with the crazy prices on cosmetics here in Australia, we wouldn’t really get all that we wanted to send to fit in that budget, so we raised it up to $150 officially but that was far surpassed in the end.
I was both excited and nervous for the swap! Excited to see what I’d be sent but nervous about the items I sent to Reshma as I wondered ‘would she like them?’
Below is what I received in the swap. I don’t want this post to be too long as there are quite a lot of photos so I’ll only be commenting on some of the items! Reshma also included a lovely note which I didn’t even think of writing! She also added some short notes on some of the products!
Thanks to Reshma, I received my first YSL product as well as my first high end product, through the YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick! I am so grateful for this product as its not something I would normally be able to afford and splash out to purchase. I absolutely love makeup brushes, you can never have enough in my opinion and I love the range of eye and face brushes she picked out for me, I’ve already used all of them and they’re great quality, I especially love the NARS dupe brush as it looks quite cool! These brushes are some of her favourites also. Products on my wishlist including the Mary Lou Manizer, Bourjois Color Boost, NYX lip glosses were all sent to me! I’ve had my eye on MAC’s Woodwinked eyeshadow for years now (this was also on my wishlist) but Reshma has introduced me to the brand Inglot, which is one of her favourite brands. I’ve heard so much about Inglot but never had the chance to try any of their products so she kindly sent me a palette with a beautiful colour that is said to be very similar to Woodwinked as well as a really nice shimmery pale gold to accompany it! Other products included in the swap are some of her favourite products as well as ones she went and purchased for the swap with me!
I just want to say the biggest thank you to Reshma for sending me such amazing goodies, I cant wait to try them all! She sent me some amazing products from amazing brands like YSL, Stila and Inglot as well as products I’ve wanted for a while and new products for me to try as well! I’m so glad to have been paired up with her for the swap and I’ve definitely made a new friend in the blogging world!
I hope she loves all the products I sent her for the swap. If you’d like to see what I did send her, click here!
