SEPHORA AUSTRALIA NEWS + OPENING DAY EVENTS, MEET KAT VON D & PRICE COMPARISONS!
Hi everyone,
With Sephora’s grand opening on Friday, December 5th at Midday, I thought I’d do a last update post to catch you up on what’s been happening and give you all the information you need for the big day!
Whilst doors officially open at Midday on Friday, the celebrations begin early at 8am with live entertainment and gifts for those lucky enough to be the first of many thousands I assume will turn up on the day!
“The first lucky 150 people in-store will receive a free SEPHORA vanity case, while the following 300 fans will receive a SEPHORA umbrella. Be sure to keep your spot – we won’t be able to guarantee entry to anyone past our closing hours of 9pm.”
During the opening day, the first 300 who check out with a Kat Von D product purchase will then get the chance to meet Kat Von D in person the very next day (Saturday 6th Dec) as well as receiving a free GWP (Gift with Purchase) of a studded bracelet and mini lipstick!
Since news of SEPHORA opening in Sydney broke, talk of US price matching on products from brands not currently stocked in Aus has been widespread and whilst many have been excited, there are a lot of people who have been sceptical about whether or not this really would occur. The Plastic Diaries has lifted the lid on some of the products and their prices that will be available at SEPHORA Australia, starting Friday. But I have heard that many girls are disappointed at them not selling some overseas brands! ^ – ^

The brand list is quite a bit smaller than overseas but hopefully they’ll expand that in the future!

I’m literally flying in for this! Might see you there! I fly out 7.20am from SA. Cant wait. People who fly in (with proof) receive a special gift too, which is sweet.

Oh wow, you’re so dedicated! Great that they have special gifts for those flying in. I actually haven’t visited the store yet! I’m waiting for the hype and holiday season to die down a little before heading over.
