Today I thought I’d share my tips and tricks to getting to sample a wide array of beauty products for free as well as those for a very low cost, PLUS I’ll be including direct links to brands who are currently holding these promotions.
Not everyone can afford to go out and buy new beauty products every week and with the risk you spending $70 on a new face cream you may not get along with, having the chance to try a sample will not only allow you to see how you get along with the product but it’ll also allow you to try a wider range of products to then determine which you prefer.
Ask For Samples In Store: I know it may seem a little daunting to go up to a sales assistant and ask for a sample but it’s nothing to be afraid of. Larger stores such as Myer, David Jones and Mecca Maxima all provide samples but they will rarely offer it unless they know you’re interested in a certain product or are wanting a few samples. Every time I purchase a fragrance at Myer, I always ask if they have any samples they could give me and most of the time, I’ll receive 2 or 3 mini samples of different fragrances! The staff at Mecca are always very helpful and can provide you with a sample of a product, especially with skincare and foundation shades which you really do need to try before you buy!
Magazine Samples: As well as the odd in-mag sticky tab sample, magazines will regularly offer a free deluxe sized or even full sized beauty products from some great brands with their new issues so always keep an eye out when you’re at the newsagent.
Sampling Websites: Sites like PINCHme are worth signing up with as they regularly provide free samples for a wide array of products, not just beauty. However, once a sample is released, be quick as they often run out really fast.
Brand Facebook Pages: At any given time, there are many brands offering free samples of their products in exchange for a ‘like’ of their page.
Gifts With Purchase + Sample Coupon Codes : There’s always great GWP offers on at major stores like Myer and David Jones and increasing, also online from stores such as Adore Beauty, so when you’re ready to purchase a beloved product, do a little research online and see if any stores that sell the product are holding any gift with purchase or sample specials. Many websites also provide special codes from time to time where if you qualify with your purchase, you can enter the coupon code and grab yourself some samples.
Loyalty Clubs: The Priceline Sisterclub loyalty scheme is great as not only do you get a quarterly payback cheque which is a percentage of your total purchases from the past 3 months but they also send out vouchers for significant discounts on products and also occasionally send out sachet samples of products too!
Special Promotions: Sometimes brands will offer special promotions such as ‘only pay for shipping’ where you receive the products for free and only pay a small delivery free whilst others will offer heavily discounted prices on a sample pack for you to try. Others will just directly offer free samples and all you need to do is complete a few simple steps.
Beauty Subscription Boxes: Whilst not free, being a subscriber of a beauty box will allow you to try a wide range of products monthly at a very reasonable price and together with a voucher code, you’ll definitely receive products worth much more than the actual cost of the box.
