5 Autumn Lip Colours To Try This Season
With Autumn in full swing and Winter just around the corner, I thought I’d share some lip products to see you through the season. As the weather gets cooler, you may be looking to incorporate some slightly darker lip shades. Here are my top picks:
Rimmel London Provocalips in ‘Make Your Move’- One of my favourite shades from the range, whilst the tube depicts quite a dark shade, on my lips this shade transforms into a beautiful shade I cannot get enough of! ELES Cosmetics Lipstick in ‘Micro Blush’ – For a shade a little brighter than the rest, this lipstick is a lighter, rosy pink shade that is another lovely option for Autumn for those who don’t want to go too dark with their lip colour but not as bright as in Summer. The formula of ELES Cosmetics lipsticks is wonderful, they are pigmented, moisturising and apply like a dream, leaving your lips plump and soft. For a lip swatch and full review, click here.
Burts Bees 100% Natural Lip Crayon in ‘Redwood Forest’ – One of my favourite latest discoveries, these Lip Crayons are pigmented, last well on the lips and apply very easily (especially when used side on). This shade is a gorgeous, wearable red for day or night and although a matte finish, isn’t uncomfortable to wear at all! Light on the lips and with a slight slip to it, this lip colour looks creamy yet matte and leaves the lips feeling soft instead of dry which many other matte lip products can do. The twist up crayon lasts well for 3 – 4 hours and the darker shades leave a slight tint on the lips, ensuring no uneven fading!
Burts Bees 100% Natural Lip Shine in ‘Smooch’ – For a lighter option on the lips, a darker but sheer coverage berry shade is a great pick! This formula melts into the lips for a lovely light feeling and isn’t too tacky on the lips at all, ensuring comfort. With ingredients to aid with moisturising, this gloss leaves the lips hydrated and soft with a lovely shine. You can slightly build up the coverage of this lip shine but it works well alone or over a lipstick.
Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick in ‘Shiraz’ – Bite Beauty is a brand I’d heard rave reviews about and I can see exactly why! This lipstick has a very creamy and rich feel, gliding onto the lips beautifully with wonderful pigmentation in just one swipe. Very comfortable on the lips, the formula is hydrating and leaves the lips feeling soft, plump and smooth, never dry. With all natural, food grade ingredients, this soft plum shade lasts well on the lips with over 4 hours of wear before needing a touch up. The formula of this lipstick has to be one of the best formulas I’ve tried in a lip product!

GREAT Review! I am thrilled to see new autumn shades being reviewed (everyone else is overseas doing Spring). I am definitely planning to try that gorgeous Burts Bees crayon.
