One of Maybelline’s latest releases here in Australia is their Baby Lips Candy Wow collection which features 4 ‘candy‑inspired colours and a new retractable crayon format’! maybelline new york baby lips candy wow Raspberry Tangy, Mixed Berry Bubblegum, Cherry Jellybean and Peach Lollipops watches reviewBuilding on their successful Baby Lips lip balm collection, these lip crayons are formulated with Vitamin E to hydrate the lips whilst also delivering a sheer but distinct tint of colour to the lips. Coming in fun and colourful packaging, there are 4 different flavours available – Cherry Jellybean, Mixed Berry Bubblegum, Peach Lollipop and Raspberry Tangy.

All the balms are scented softly to reflect their individual fruity flavours and the formula is wonderful – they easily glide over the lips effortlessly and leave a sheer but still quite pigmented, glossy colour finish. Once applied onto the lips, they’re light and comfortable to wear with an emollient feel, leaving the lips soft, smooth and hydrated.

I love the range of colours in this collection as they will really suit all complexions and the lip crayon packaging makes them super easy to use whether you’re at home or out and about. As they are lip balms and not a lip colour, their wear time is about 2-3 hours which for a balm is great as these have the added bonus of colour as well!

If there was one issue with this product, it would be the lids as they dont seal as tight as they should be so when placing the balm in your bag, just make sure you place them somewhere where they are less likely to be hit by other items to reduce the chance of the lids slipping off.
