Rimmel London ‘Brow This Way’ Brow Sculpting Kits and Brow Styling Gels – Review
Whether they’re bold, groomed or just looking natural, the brow trend is here to stay and with so much importance placed on the appearance of brows these days, it can be a little daunting when it comes to choosing the right product for your brows.
If you’re looking for a range of products that are easy and fuss free to use whilst being affordable, then you’ll have to take a look at the Rimmel London ‘Brow This Way’ collection.
The collection features 2 ‘Brow This Way’ Brow Sculpting Kits in the shades Medium Brown and Dark Brown with each compact containing a wax to shape, define and fix the brow and a powder to set the wax and create a more natural finish. With a double ended brow brush and a spoolie, this little kit has all you need to do your brows both at home or on the go.
The formula of the wax is lovely and not too sticky or wet in consistency, allowing you to have great control during application. The pigmentation of the wax is lovely and both wax shade variations are neither too cool or too warm, allowing for a natural finish. The brow powders have a nice texture that dont apply too pigmented, allowing you to control the finish you produce for your brows. As someone who like a very natural brow look, I use the powders light handed as the shades do unfortunately have a tendency to look warm (red) on the skin.
As both kits are brown shades, those with lighter or blonde brows will probably be unable to use this product.
The ‘Brow This Way’ Brow Styling Gel has fast become a favourite as I’m able to quickly brush the gel through my brows in the morning for a natural yet groomed look. The gels come in 4 shades: Clear, Blonde, Medium Brown and Dark Brown.
The formula of the gel is fantastic, pigmentation is very lovely but the gel wont darken your brows, instead sculpting and defining them for the whole day and this product wont leave your brows feeling crispy or crunchy. As the gel doesn’t contain any fibers, it wont thicken the brow hairs per se, however, as the brows are then groomed through, it will give the illusion of a slightly thicker brow as a whole.
The brush works through the brow really nicely but do be sure to wipe off any excess product before application as the brush head is quite large so it will hold a bit of product.
The Rimmel London ‘Brow This Way’ Brow Sculpting Kits and Brow Styling Gels are available for $12.95 each in Priceline, Target, Big W and other Rimmel London stockists.
