10 Aussie Skincare Products You Need To Try
With Australia Day in a couple of days, I thought I’d share some of my favourite Australian skincare brands and products of late. All the brands here started/are Australian and with so much popularity, some have now expanded overseas and begun manufacturing there but in essence, they are all Australian brands!First launched in New Zealand and Australia, the Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ has officially become my favourite rosehip oil EVER! I find the texture slightly lighter than others on the market and with the addition of antioxidants, I notice more of a difference/improvement (more hydrated, brighter, smoother) in my skin.
I adore sheet masks as they’re mess free, easy to use and perfect for my normal-dry skin type. The Lonvitalite C6 Green Tea Antioxidant Face Masks are new to the range and I’m loving them for Summer as the mask is cooling and the Green Tea helps bring down any redness from staying out in the sun too long!
The Cedar + Stone Atlantis Serum is all natural and contains —stones. The serum not only smells amazing but its really hydrating without being heavy on the skin, instead leaving a healthy sheen. Its perfect as a nightly serum as you’ll wake up with a bright, smooth complexion. It features a beautiful blend of organic and essential oils to treat your skin.
LA CLINICA for Skin and Body Anti Ageing 3 Fruit Enzymes Exfoliating Scrub & Mask is a great 2 in 1 product if you’re looking for something that’s easy to use and delivers results. Made with fruit enzymes, it’s gentle but effective at exfoliating the skin (without leaving it dry) whilst using it as a mask helps refine the skin even further!
Lanolips is a classic here in Aus and while I love the 101 Ointment, I’ve had the Lemonaid Lip Aid in my bag for the past few weeks and am loving it! It’s a lovely rich, fresh smelling lip treatment, more-so than a lip balm which is why I love wearing it under a lip colour as I know I’ll be getting that hydration boost without sacrificing colour.
The Beauty Chef’s Inner Beauty Powder was a product I was a bit unsure of before trying. Could a powder you mixed into water/smoothies, etc really help boost your beauty from the inside? While it definitely took some time to see the results, I do feel as though it has made a difference. While I would usually get a couple of spots during that time of the month, they didn’t appear while I was taking this and my skin didn’t seem as dull/dry! It contains 23 super foods and actually tastes lovely, making it the perfect little beauty boost.
The Synergie Skin Micellution is a gentle micellar solution that is PEG, parabens, SLS, artificial fragrance or colours free and it really does it all! As promised, it cleanses, balances, soothes and hydrates the skin thanks to it’s ingredients. With Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera, it’s a great micellar/toner hybrid that really wont irritate the skin whilst removing everyday makeup but will act as an additional skincare product in your routine.
The Soap Box is a great Australian business offering all natural, locally made soaps and they even have a subscription service. The soaps are beautifully packaged and gentle on the skin, never stripping. They leave the skin feeling clean, soft and hydrated, perfect to use after a body scrub. They have a range of different soaps/scents and they last quite well so they’re a great choice for a gentle soap!
Moogoo is a brand that I hadn’t tried until a couple of months ago but I am really impressed with their Soothing MSM Cream which is not only great as an after sun product but has helped hydrate and relieve the keratosis pilaris that sometimes get red on my arms! It’s made with some great ingredients and is safe for the whole family.
Alpha H Liquid Gold is definitely worth the hype! After trying a small sample, I immediately went and ordered a full sized bottle. Unlike a lot of other skincare products, I saw the difference it was making to my skin in just a few days. My skin is now brighter, smoother and more refined!
