Rimmel London The Only 1 Lipstick – Review
Rimmel London have released an all new lipstick line in the form of ‘The Only 1 Lipsticks’ which promise to be the only lipstick you ever need! With 12 vibrant shades, there are also 3 new Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liners to compliment a number of the lipstick shades.
A new hybrid formula that marries the best of moisturising lipstick and long wear lipstick in an innovative and unique multitasking formula. Developed to excel in the 4 must- have attributes for lipstick.
• COLOUR – high impact, vibrant, intense.
• COMFORT – lightweight, glides, not heavy or dry.
• MOISTURE – vitamin infused moisture.
• WEAR – stay true colour for hours.
The lipsticks come packaged in a sleek black tube with a band of colour for easy access to the colour you’re looking for. Like some other Rimmel lipsticks, this range also has a soft fruity scent which I quite like as it isn’t overpowering at all.
The formula itself is absolutely stunning. Each shade is incredibly smooth, almost like a balm but with a lipstick’s pigmentation so it truly does glide onto the lips with ease, delivering colour and moisture in one. The creamy lipsticks have a satin finish so they never look dry on the lips and the formula feels comfortable and light to wear on the lips.
The winning aspect for me was just how well the shades lasted on the lips. While there is a range of shades from bold reds to nude pinks, all the colours performed well and I found that it was only after 4-5 hours (with eating and drinking included) that I needed to check up on the colour and even then, a touch up was all that was needed as opposed to a full reapplication. The lipsticks wear away beautifully on the lip and stay looking bold and creamy.
The Rimmel London The Only 1 Lipsticks retail for $15.95 and are available from Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, Supermarkets and other stockists.
