If you love a matte lip and are into innovative formulas, you must try the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Matte FX Lip Colours which are a powder lip product!
One of the most interesting launches of the year has to be the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Matte FX Lip Colours. With a powder formula applied with a domed sponge applicator, the lip product can be used a number of ways, making it a versatile addition to your makeup collection. The applicator actually works really well to help apply and disperse the colour evenly over the lips. The sponge also helps buff and blend the product, allowing you to customise your coverage – from a sheer wash of colour to a opaque lip look and even an ombre lip. The product actually becomes smooth and almost creamy on the lips when applied so there’s no need to worry about any powdery feeling.
The powder formula provides a matte finish to the lips, which doesn’t feel heavy or overly drying, although my top tip with this product is to make sure you exfoliate the lips and apply a lip balm (which soaks in well and doesn’t leave any residue on the lips) for the best result as I found that the product can cling to any prominent dry patches.
In total, there are 6 shades in the range but unfortunately I only have 5 to swatch for you. As you can see, the shade range is fantastic, ranging from a nude to a rose, orange and even a purple shade! I love mixing 001 Silencio and 002 Virgin to create a lovely wearable pinky-nude shade that’s perfect for everyday. It can also be applied under a lip balm or gloss for a boost of shine and hydration.
Overall, I would definitely recommend trying a shade from this product because it is unlike any other lip product on the market and if you’re a fan of matte lip products but dont want the heaviness of the traditional type, this one is for you!
The L’Oreal Paris Infallible Matte FX Lip Colours are available from Priceline, Chemist Warehouse and other L’Oreal stockists for $23.95 each.
