Taking A Look At: Mineralogie

When I was recently given to opportunity to trial some products from Mineralogie, I was really excited because I haven’t really tried many mineral makeup products before! I have noticed that mineral makeup has become more popular over the past few years and fittingly so it appears after my great experience using these mineral makeup products from Mineralogie!

Matte & Shimmer Loose Mineral Eye Shadows – $29.95

While I’m usually not one for loose eye shadows because I find them a bit messy to use, I have to say that these Mineralogie loose eye shadow samples may be helping me change my mind on that! The eye shadows are finely milled, leaving a beautifully super smooth pigment that is both rich in colour and easy to use. Coming in 13 shades, the colours blend easily on the eye and can be used dry or wet, for a more intense finish. The lasting power when used over a primer was very impressive, even on my oily eyelids and I was able to get through the day without it creasing!

 

Nude Liquid Eye Liner – $28.00

I was most excited to try this product from all that I was sent because it was so intriguing! Although titled as ‘nude’, this liquid eye liner is actually of a clear formula that you’re able to use to ‘pick up’ the eyeshadow of your choice to use an as eyeliner! The formula sets the colour into place and ensures it wont budge or fade all day! The brush’s stiff tip allows you to achieve the eyeliner style of your choice, whether it be a thin defining line or something more dramatic. I think this innovative product is amazing because while you can use any eyeshadow as an eyeliner, the liquid nude eye liner from Mineralogie allows for easy application in a number of styles and ensures that the colour sets and will last all day!

Pressed Eye Shadow Compact – $29.95

For those of you who aren’t fans of loose eye shadows, Mineralogie also offers pressed eye shadows which come in a stylish and sturdy compact with a built in mirror! These eye shadows are smooth and pigmented but what’s great about them is that you’re able to built up the colour’s intensity to your desire. There is little to no fallout when blending theseand similarly to the loose eye shadows, the lasting power is impressive. Pressed with Sweet Almond Oil, the formula also contains Vitamins E & A as well as Aloe & Rosemary to soothe and protect the eye.

 

Pressed Mineral Bronzer – $70.00

The mineral bronzer comes in a round compact, complete with mirror and powder puff for easy application. The bronzer itself is extremely pigmented so for those of you who are quite fair like I am, slowly building up the colour with gentle application would be the best way to go. While it does contain some shimmer particles, it doesn’t overwhelm the powder and wont leave you looking too shimmery, instead it provides a beautiful summery glow to the face. The shade Barcelona (which I have trialled) does not have a red or orange undertone and can be blended out easily, making it suitable for use on fair skin.

 

Lipstick – $38.00

Coming in 18 different shades, the Mineralogie lipsticks glide onto the lips beautifully, giving a bold wash of pigmented colour. Containing grape seed oil, jojoba oil, avocado, Vitamin E and Shea Butter, the lipstick formula is hydrating and protecting, leaving your lips soft and supple. The colour lasts very well throughout the day and fades evenly whilst leaving a soft tint which ensures your lips are always with colour, even hours after application.

I have really been impressed by these mineral makeup products and can see why they’re raved out! The lasting power of all these products is something really to be commended on and the sleek but practical packaging just adds to the whole experience of using these products. If you haven’t tried any products from Mineralogie, I would highly recommend you do so!
