Good Skin Days with the Clearasil Daily Clear Vitamins & Extracts Daily Wash & Scrub
Hi everyone,
During high school, I was quite blessed in the skin department. While some of my friends suffered bad breakouts and acne, I was one who would only get the odd spot or so and I felt really fortunate for that! While I do believe genes and diet play a part, using the right skincare products can really help improve your skin.
One of the brands I used throughout high school was Clearasil. I had a few staple products from the brand and one of the main reasons I stuck with them was because while they were gentle on the skin, they were also really effective at doing their job – whether that be a deep cleansing, treating a spot or just a daily wash.
I recently gave 2 Clearasil products a go and I have to say, I was really impressed and would definitely recommend you give them a go, whether you’re a teenager or not!
The Clearasil Daily Clear Vitamins & Extracts Daily Wash is actually a 2 in 1 product as it can be used as a face wash and as a 3 minute mask! With a thick and creamy texture, when used as a facial cleanser, the formula can be easily massaged into the skin. It leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed whilst keeping the skin’s hydration in check as there is no feeling of dryness after use.
Using an exfoliating scrub is important in a skincare routine as it removes dead skin cells, minimising the risk of clogging pores that may lead to spots. Clearasil’s Daily Clear Vitamins & Extracts Scrub is a lovely fresh scrub with exfoliating beads mixed into formula. Lathering up nicely, the scrub works very well to exfoliate the skin and the result is smooth, soft skin with an overall improved complexion. Pores are also visibly minimised.
Effective but very gentle and suitable for use daily, both products have a gorgeous fresh light fruity scent and that’s why I love to use them in the mornings! It’ll give you a bit of a wake up as well as making sure your skin is prepped for the next stage of your beauty routine. The Daily Wash and Scrub all contain kind to skin ingredients including Vitamin E, antioxidants as well as avocado and pomegranate extracts to nourish the skin and keep it looking healthy.
The Clearasil Daily Clear Vitamins & Extracts Daily Wash & Vitamins & Extracts Scrub are both available from Priceline for $10.99.

“While I do believe genes and diet play a part, using the right skincare products can really help improve your skin.”
HATE this line – my chronic and moderately severe acne has NOTHING to do with me being a) lazy b) not washing properly c) not finding the ‘right’ skincare, but its thoughts like this that make me ashamed at the age of 35 to leave the house some days due to my disgusting skin that seeming nothing, not even strong prescription drugs, can seem to clear up.
Whilst I know this isn’t your intention of this post, its subconscious thoughts like this that makes acne sufferers so ashamed, embarrassed and literally depressed over our skin. We really have tried everything, and for some people, nothing really works, its just the way we are. As innocent as it is, having the background thought that something can be done about it, ergo, we are just not committed enough to finding that something (hence arking back to the ‘we are lazy’ subconscious thought that so many people have about people with acne (not one or two spots, full on acne)), is what continues the cycle of low self esteem and hating on ourselves that people with acne have.
I’m not posting this to have a go, but to try to challenge this thought process – like I say, I know you are not meaning this post at all in a horrid way to people with acne, but if it isn’t commented on the thought process for many many people continues, and people like me end up feeling suicidal at times with the shame of having awful skin. Its only by challenging the long held social ideas about such things that we can bring about change 🙂
Thanks for the heads up on Clearasil these days though – its good to know its a lot less drying these days 😀

Hi Adele, please understand that that was definitely not my goal with the post and I’m so sorry to have upset you. That is definitely not the way I view people who suffer from bad breakouts or acne. I’ve had a few close friends really suffer with bad skin and bad acne and we’ve had many a chat about what they’ve tried to do to improve their skins situation and they’ve let me know (and I’ve seen firsthand) that after really speaking to their doctors and other specialists, that the recommendations made to try and use products with certain ingredients, etc has helped improve their skin. Obviously it’s not just the product that has done this but it has played a part and like you said, not everything works for everybody.
But thank you for posting your comment, i completely understand that you’re not having a go and are just trying to share your thoughts, it’s definitely something that should be put out there because they are valid points! I’m so sorry to hear that you struggle with you skin and I hope that one day you find something, whether it be skincare or not to help improve your skin. Again, thank you for your comment! x

I love the wash/mask but prefer to use it as a wash instead of a mask because it works much better on my skin that way 🙂
