Shortlisted for beautyheaven’s 2013 Australian BlogStar Awards!

Hi everyone,

I have a very exciting announcement today! I’ve been shortlisted in the Make Up Addict Category in beautyheaven’s 2013 Australian BlogStar Awards.

For those who aren’t familiar with beautyheaven, it is a online beauty community with beauty advice, news, product and brand lists and as well as forums where users come to talk all things beauty and a whole host of other topics!

The Australian BlogStar Awards is held annually where users are able to submit their blog posts into a number of categories. A number of these posts are then shortlisted with beautyheaven members then given the chance to vote for their favourite in each category of the 6 categories.

100 voters have the chance to win beauty prizes while the subsequent winning bloggers in each category will receive a monthly guest post on the beautyheaven website as well as a huge $1500 beauty prize pack! Amazing!

My post Celebrities sans Makeup: Why is it a big deal and the effect on teenagers is the post that has been shortlisted. I initially wasn’t sure if I wanted to submit this post as there are so many different views and opinions on the subject and as such, can be somewhat controversial but as it is a subject that I am passionate about, I decided to send it in. I’ve received some amazing responses from quite a few beautyheaven members.

A big thank you to beautyheaven for shortlisting me and spreading the word on my blog post, especially due to it’s subject. I’m so grateful to have been shortlisted and thank you to all that have read the post and have left a comment.
